There will be other categories for pictures where the person or animal is the main focus of the picture. The time of the picture does not matter as long as we can see the nature that is supposed to be the focus of the picture. Sometimes your photo may have multiple focus's or match multiple categories. When this happens you are expected to pick the category the picture lines up with the best.
This category is about the sky. The category fits all photos where the focus is on the sky or the stars. The time of the picture does not matter as the pictures focus can be the sky or the stars. It is recommended to take a picture when the sun is not fully out as this will give your picture the most contrast and the most points of interest. This is because of the colors that appear at sunrise and sunset as well as the formation of clouds, the sometimes visible moon, and sometimes visible stars. Of course you can choose any time period you would like. I are excited to see any pictures you've taken. Sometimes your photo may have multiple focus's or match multiple categories. When this happens you are expected to pick the category the picture lines up with the best.
This category is about living things. The category fits all photos where the focus is on any living thing besides a plant. The time of the picture does not matter as long as the pictures focus is visible. Any pictures with your dogs or cats, maybe even some birds will fit in this category. As long as the focus of the picture is on a person or living animal it will fit this category. I look forward to seeing all your pictures of people and animals. Sometimes your photo may have multiple focus's or match multiple categories. When this happens you are expected to pick the category the picture lines up with the best.
This link will take you to a page where you can vote for a category of images. Within the voting form there will be a few fields we need your information on. One of the fields is your first and last name. If you wish to remain anonymous that is fine as long as you fill out the second field. The second field will be where you can type out your email so you can be contacted for any reason we may need to. We will not use your email to send spam or any news letters. I get them too and I get how annoying they are. Your email is for contacting purposes only and nothing else.
There is one more field within the voting form. The third and final field is the voting. You must select which category you think has the best photos. Underneath that category are a few photos to give examples of each category. Vote for your favorite category and then all thats left to do is submit the voting form. After submitting the voting form you may close that voting tab and return to this website. Make sure to have all fields filled out within the voting form if possible. These are the winners of last years photo voting contest. Each contestant submitted their photo for the respective category and won so will not be on this page until the winners of this years photo contest have been selected. If you too would like to participate in this years image voting contest then you may travel back to the main page of this website and go to the photo submission section where you will then be able to click on a link taking you to the photo submission form. Once on the form you may fill out the application to have your photo be a possible contender to the photo competition in any of the categories your photo has been submitted under.
If you would like to vote for the photos others have taken then you may go back to the main page and go to the voting section. This will again take you to a form to fill out which category of picture you would like to vote for. When voting please do not create fake alias's to get more votes for a category. Please do not try and tip the scale either by encouraging any other person to vote for a specific category. We want everyone to have a fair chance at winning. After all, there is no prize for winning. This whole competition is just for fun so should not be taken to the extreme.
